DISNEYtopia's New Groove with Rocket Raccoon (and lots of llamas)

Hello DISNEYtopia! friends,

I am so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so sorry! I recently checked my blog site and realized I hadn't made a post since OCTOBER 2015!!! It's now the "Summer of Heroes", Disneyland's 61st anniversary (which they don't celebrate, but still), and the second month of Disney's California Adventure's Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT.

Moana, Elena of Avalor, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the 2017 version of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens are out, Elena on Disney Channel, Guardians in theaters, and the others on DVD.

Mission: BREAKOUT was apparently a huge success for the parks. This ride is DE BOMB and has 6 different versions! I got the opportunity to get on 2 of them, and trust me when I tell you this: this ride can't be compared to Tower of Terror. Why? Because it would make Tower of Terror look bad!!! I am a fan of the Tower, but this ride is my new best friend. My favorite version was the first one I got on that plays the song, "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". I also got on the one that plays the Jackson 5's "ABCs", but that one drops you more because the clips are shorter. Yes, they play clips when you drop!

A good thing about this ride conquering the parks is that the lines for other rides in BOTH PARKS are much shorter. You no longer need to get there when it opens to get fast passes for Radiator Springs Racers, you need to get there AN HOUR BEFORE PARK OPENING to get fastpasses for Guardians (We did that on accident but we got a great time to get on because nobody was there for fastpasses).

A bad thing is EVERYBODY'S AT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: MISSION BREAKOUT making it ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ON WITHIN AN HOUR IN STANDBY! There were, not just one, but TWO standby lines. One was in the backlots, and the other literally wrapped around California Adventure. Watch the video below if you want a laugh, but if you want to see the ride, click the second link. The third link is the commercial for the ride with a sneak peak of the video they play, like how they used to play the Twilight Zone clip in the line (or the library, Taneleer Tivan's office, whatever).

Now, this is not only the Summer of Heroes, but also the time to go to Disney World!!! One of my relatives is going next week and I wanted to help her out by making part of this post a segment called, "Tink's Tips: Disney World Edition". Here you go!

Okay, so first decide where you want to go for vacation. Disney World, obviously! Next, check their website (I added a link at the end of this paragraph)to see what rides you absolutely NEED to get on. I just have to get on Haunted Mansion, Pirates (it opened on my birthday and holds a special place in my heart), Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain. That's just me. After you agree to disagree (it's okay, most families do when it comes to certain rides...) then go to disneystore.com to buy a MagicBand online or see if they have the one you want so you can pick it up later.

Disney World®‎ (this is the link to Disney World's official website, btw)

MagicBands are this bracelet things you put on your wrist that have your hotel room key (only if you stay at a Disney-owned resort), your credit card (don't worry, that's parents only), your fastpasses, and your entry ticket to all 4 parks.

Now that you have your super awesome MagicBands, its time to sync it to the app! Get the My Disney Experience app, pick your fast passes, and create you itinerary. If you miss Tower of Terror, it's still at Disney's Hollywood Studios, so get on it while you can. Plus, Animal Kingdom just opened Pandora, so see if they have fastpasses for any of those rides.

Next thing to note: NO ONE can predict the weather in Florida. Well, they can, but they don't know exactly when it's going to rain. I remember last time we went, our first destination was Magic Kingdom. We got on a ride, got in line for Dumbo for my little sister, and then the heavens cried. A lot. We were stuck in the kiddy play area in the line for about two hours! They shut half of the park's rides down because of the lightning and thunder. We didn't get on another ride until about 4 in the evening, and we got in line for  Dumbo around 1. Although, that is partially our fault because, coming from across the country, there is a HUGE time change and we didn't wake up until noon all week. But still, the weather can get a bit nasty, so bring a poncho, a hat, and sunscreen, because even when it rains, it's VERY hot and humid.

Transportation is also a big thing when it comes to visiting Disney World. There are monorails, shuttles, trams, a ferry, and rental cars. The Contemporary Disney Hotel has a monorail that literally goes through it. Shuttles and trams come to each of the hotels and will drive you to each park. Rental cars are good to have and are needed, but if you don't want to pay that much, get on a bus from the airport and from the hotels, use trams and shuttles (they're free!) to get to the separate parks until you are ready to leave.

That's all of Tink's Tips for today, but be sure to look out for my next Tink's Tips column for those of you planning to go to Disney World this summer.

  Next, something very special that...
 - happens every year
 - is for members only (I'm not one... yet)
 - costs a lot to attend

  You guessed it!

D23 is back again with all new surprises! I won't be going there this year, but someday I will be. My dream is to go experience the magic of all that stuff and yes, I will take pictures ;)

So yeah. I'm so excited even though I won't be there. I hope some of you guys can get your tickets but uh, good luck! Those tickets are so expensive and hard to find. If you landed one, you don't know how lucky you are. Have fun!!!

So, Pirates is now 50 at Disneyland!!! I'm not (I'm much younger) but it's so cool to be a fan of the movie and ride, and then find out it's grand opening was on YOUR BIRTHDAY 50 years ago! Things have changed since the original ride, but it's okay because I finally found a video! The link is below. The third one is 1992 at DISNEY WORLD, the second one is September 1990 at DISNEYLAND, and the first one is Walt Disney's proclamation of Pirates of the Caribbean on The Wonderful World of Disney. The end of the fourth one, the commercial, was edited and not original because Jack Sparrow was not existing back then and that song, "He's a Pirate" was not known until The Curse of the Black Pearl came out in 2003. Again, I'm sorry that the commercial was edited as a joke and I could not remove it because I forgot how to. I wish I actually found the original one, but oh well. Hopefully next time. The fifth one is from 1993.

They do not do Small World Holiday at Disney World's Magic Kingdom.  That's it for Small World today. Let's move on to... NEW!!! Moana Concept Art NEW!!! DISNEYtopia's New Groove with Rocket Raccoon Pt. 2 (plus more llamas)

Hey-o!   Welcome back to DISNEYtopia! I'm rocketraccoon24 and I can't wait to share cool DIY Disney projects (some found on Pintrest, and some homemade), Pin Talk, more Tink's Tips, updates on STAR WARS LAND (yay),  D23 hints and (maybe) spoilers, and funny-as-heck ride videos.       First things first, Disney parks have pin trading events IN THE PARK! I found an article on OH MY DISNEY about pin trading if you aren't sure what that is or if you have a pin or two but don't know what to do with it/them. Below is a link to the article. Hi!   My name is disneygal101, and I am your insider on (almost) everything Disney related! I have lots of facts and can't wait to share it with all of you!   On this blog, I will give you lots of fun information, but then put YOU to the test. These so-called tests are part of the 'D.Y.T.Y.K.Disney' quiz series made by disneygal101 herself (me!). There will soon be polls for you to take online, as well. Are you ready? Great!   This summer, I traveled to Disneyland's sister park, Walt Disney World. It is named after the great Walt Disney himself. If you've never been, let's just say it's way different than Disneyland. There are many shows at Hollywood Studios, so get ready to enter Florida's mini Disney version of Hollywood! Tower of Terror is different too, but let's not get that far into detail. I don' want to spoil it.   If you are used to entering Disneyland and having California Adventure and Downtown Disney right there, you might want...
